After studying Anthropology at University, which fuelled a desire to learn as much as possible about humans and apply this knowledge to problems in the real world, Katy fell into the world Research. She began her career at research agency Thinks Insight & Strategy, where she developed a robust grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies whilst managing challenging projects for clients spanning the public, corporate and third sectors. She has conducted research in many arenas including the healthcare, security and utilities spaces, as well as on pressing social issues including climate change and the cost-of-living crisis.

She has a particular passion for ensuring vulnerable and hard-to-reach voices are heard by organisations, as well as helping her clients navigate the complex and shifting landscape of public opinion.

An accomplished mixed methods researcher, she joined Blue Marble in 2023 after a long summer holiday (she also feels strongly about time away from her desk). She enjoys yoga classes, attempting to improve her running, exploring Southeast London where she is based and the occasional elderflower margarita.
