Labour Together: Cost of living listening

At the start of this year, we conducted ‘listening’ interviews with 21 pairs of swing voters across Britain, for Labour Together. This methodology allowed for participants to talk freely with each other about the cost-of-living crisis, with minimal interaction with our moderators.

Our research highlights that to key voters at the next General Election, the cost-of-living crisis is far from over, with many continually shocked at the high cost of everyday expenses. These voters feel that their quality of life has declined compared to the past and that working life now seems unfair.
